The Farmers Markets of Napa Valley collaboration began with a shared vision: to strengthen local agriculture, support small family farms, and create a stronger connection between Napa Valley communities and the people who grow their food.
Through a successful grant award from the United States Department of Agriculture Farmers Market Promotion Program, the markets in Napa, St. Helena, Calistoga, and Yountville came together to launch the Farmers Markets of Napa Valley, a collaborative effort designed to promote California Certified farmers markets throughout the region.
This funding helps expand awareness, strengthen community outreach, and shine a spotlight on the farmers, growers, makers, and local businesses that make Napa Valley’s markets such an important part of the region’s agricultural heritage.

Every Farmers Markets of Napa Valley location is part of California’s Certified Farmers Market program, a system designed to support local agriculture, protect transparency, and connect consumers directly with the people who grow their food.
Certified farmers markets help small and mid sized farms bring fresh, seasonal products directly to their communities while giving shoppers confidence that what is sold is grown by the farmers themselves. It is a program rooted in authenticity, agricultural heritage, and a simple promise:

A key element of the Farmers Markets of Napa Valley mission is to cultivate inclusive places where our whole community can gather and purchase farm fresh, sustainably grown produce, specialty foods, and artisan goods directly from local growers and makers.
